Executive Director Search

Boost Oregon's Founding Executive Director Nadine Gartner announces her departure, effective June 2024.  She writes:

"It has been the honor and joy of my professional life to found and grow Boost Oregon.  Becoming a mother introduced me to vaccine hesitancy and refusal, and my determination to keep my prematurely-born baby healthy and safe from infectious diseases planted the seed for Boost Oregon.  With the help and support of hundreds of parents, medical providers, and public health officials, we have grown into a statewide organization with a nationally renowned reputation.

I am so grateful for Boost Oregon's amazing staff and past and current board of directors.  After nearly nine years at the helm, I know that Boost Oregon has never been stronger.  Now is the time to pass the baton, and I am excited to see where the next executive director takes the organization.

Thank you so much to everyone who has made Boost Oregon a robust and impactful health organization.  Just like vaccines themselves, Boost Oregon succeeds when the entire community participates.  It has been a joy and a privilege to work with all of you - parents, grandparents, medical providers, public health professionals, and community members - to increase vaccine uptake and confidence and to protect the most vulnerable among us."

The president of Boost Oregon's Board of Directors, Taylor Pinsent, states:

“Nadine has graciously offered her tremendous vision, expertise and energy to our organization since its inception, making it the successful organization that it is today.  The board will be forever grateful for all that Nadine has built and the legacy she is leaving.  It is bittersweet but we wish Nadine only the best and look forward to the next chapter for Boost Oregon.”
